Why Career Change After Displacement Is Hard
You had a career. You had a network. You knew how things worked. Now the rules are different. Here's what makes it difficult.
Your Network Disappeared
The contacts who could vouch for you, refer you, or tip you off about opportunities are back in Ukraine or scattered across Europe.
Credentials Don't Transfer Cleanly
Your qualifications, job titles, and experience don't map directly to EU standards. Employers don't know how to read your background.
You Don't Know the Local Rules
Every country has different expectations for CVs, interviews, networking, and job search. What worked in Ukraine may hurt you here.

What Changes After Mentoring
Clear Direction
Understand which roles to target, which countries offer opportunity, and what steps to take first.
Stronger Applications
CV, cover letter, and LinkedIn aligned to what EU employers actually look for.
Interview Confidence
Know what questions to expect, how to answer them, and how to present yourself professionally.
Faster Job Search
Stop applying randomly. Focus your energy on opportunities where you have a real chance.
After six months of applying with no response, I was ready to give up. My mentor helped me see that my CV was wrong for Germany, my LinkedIn was invisible, and I was targeting the wrong roles. Three months later, I had two offers. I wish I'd found this programme sooner.
