Digital First Steps

An 8-week programme teaching adults to use email, video calls, healthcare portals, and job applications. Small groups. A volunteer coach every session. Free.

Rosa is 58. She has never sent an email.

She raised three children, ran a household, held two jobs. When her employer moved scheduling to an app, she lost shifts. When her doctor switched to a patient portal, she missed appointments. When her grandchild's school went digital, she could not help with homework.

Rosa is not unusual. Millions of adults in the United States function at a high level in every part of life except the digital one. Not because they lack ability. Because no one built a programme that fits the time, pace, and support they need.

By week eight, Rosa had booked her own medical appointment online. She applied for a better shift schedule through the app. She helped her grandson submit a school assignment.

How It Works

Participants do not watch tutorials. They complete real tasks with a volunteer coach at their side.

Small Groups, Real Tasks

Cohorts of up to five participants. Each session focuses on a practical skill: sending an email, joining a video call, navigating a healthcare portal, spotting a scam, filling out a job application online.

A Coach Every Session

A volunteer digital coach shows up every week for eight weeks. Two to three hours per session. No teaching background needed. The curriculum is structured. The coach provides patience and presence.

Eight Weeks to Independence

By the end of the programme, participants handle their own digital tasks. No more asking someone else to "do the computer part."
